From Dana’s Journal….

We’re Back!! Recently our AAFC website was hacked by an organization who targets sites for African Americans, Latinos, Native Americans and various religious groups. We apologize if you logged on and were subjected to offensive language and photos. We took the necessary steps to report the incident and more importantly secure our site.
The AAFC, like many organizations across the country, is finding it difficult to raise the necessary sponsorship funds in the current economy. Sponsorship money supports our annual conference and programs here in the US and Africa. The AAFC Conference scheduled for October 3, 2009 in Philadelphia has been postponed until further notice. Our associates are still moving forward with fund raising efforts, however we will not commit to a date until all of the necessary funding is in place. If you would like to donate or sponsor the AAFC, visit the AAFC website .
In the interim, we are working overtime to assist communities in Atlanta, Philadelphia and Dallas via our free AAFC Aftercare programs. The AAFC Aftercare program has been carefully designed to unite practitioners, programs and educators with African American families to interact in open forums and workshops. This fosters the need to strengthen African American families and communities through communication and exchange of knowledge.
We encourage you to visit the site and join our mailing list for news, information and events about the AAFC Aftercare initiative. If you are interested in volunteering in one of these cities, send an e-mail to info@AfricanAmericanFamilyConference.com.
The future is in our hands….
